Sunday Morning

First Baptist Church of Hamilton is a multi-generational church that makes every effort to offer opportunities for worship that are meaningful and that give honor and glory to the Lord. Our Sunday morning service contains many elements for those worshipping with us. These include the sharing in the reading of God’s Holy Word together, praying, worshiping the Lord through music and drama, participating in the Lord’s Supper and Believer’s Baptism and receiving scripture based messages as the Holy Spirit has laid upon the heart of our Pastor. At the conclusion of our morning worship an invitation is extended to accept Christ as Savior or to transfer membership to this body of believers. A time of prayer is included for those wishing to come forward and lay their burdens at the foot of the cross.

We value the reading of God’s Word. We approach this through unison and responsive readings as well as skits and drama that reinforce the theme and content of the service.

We seek to plan congregational music that is balanced to meet the needs of our multi-generational church. You will find traditional hymns to contemporary and modern praise and worship music. We include the use of the more traditional sounds of organ and piano to the more contemporary sounds of our praise team and worship band. We have a dynamic and dedicated music ministry that includes a Chancel Choir as well as the KingsKids Choir and Cherub Choir for our elementary and younger children.

On the first Sunday of each month we gather to share in the Lord’s Supper. We remember the sacrificial gift of Christ’s death yet celebrate the Risen Lord through His resurrection!

Throughout the year we share in the Baptism by immersion of new believers. Each new believer lights their own candle signifying they are now a light unto the world. One candle is left unlit — an invitation for someone to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Our morning worship services are also interpreted for the Deaf community. We have a gifted team of interpreters that have dedicated themselves to this ministry.

We welcome you to join us for worship!

A church “Where everyone is somebody, and Jesus Christ is Lord!”
