I am forwarding an article to you which I received via email this past week in hopes it will be beneficial to you. I also want to warn you of a site out that which is creating a lot of buzz, ChatRoulette. This new site, which right now does not seem to be very populated by teenagers, let’s people chat with someone else on a random basis, no one knows who will be on the other side of the screen. Lots of organization, from faith-based to secular blogs and organizations, are warning about the content on the site (I have not and do not plan on looking for myself), because of the nature and very real possibility of seeing inappropriate content. Almost every article I have read encourages parents to monitor and be aware of where their children are going online and have a discussion about what really is “private” when posted online. I am close to finalizing our CREW calendar for hopefully the next 6 months so please be aware of that and I will get it out to you as soon as possible in as many different formats as possible. I do need to know from what month, or time of year, would be a good one for a Parent’s Seminar/Luncheon. I received some good suggestions from some of you earlier this year and working on what our time together may look like. Yet, the day will only be as good as long as you guys can make. Please let me know and we will try to pick the most “optimal” time of this coming year to do so. Thanks for all you do and know I am praying for you and here to serve you as much as your teen.
