Sunday School Promotion Day

Sunday School Promotion Day will be during the last part of the Sunday School hour on May 27th for all children completing grades 6 through 12. On June 3rd, these students should report directly to their new class. All other school age children will be promoted in September at the beginning of the new school year.

On your mark…get set…GO! Tie your shoe strings and begin your race with this high-energy kid’s musical, The Amazing Grace Race , created by Celeste Clydesdale. These young racers are learning that the secret to running life’s grace race is to follow in His steps but in their shoes.When facing tough stretches through places like the Valley of Despair and Badlands Bog, these kids learn the value of love, forgiveness, perseverance, and the value of working as a team. Running with faith, they look to the great cloud of witnesses cheering them on and consider the signs they are leaving for those who will come behind. Most importantly, they run so as to cross the finish line and hear Jesus say, “Well done!”

Winter Jam Concert

Winter Jam Concert at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. We will be leaving the church at 3:00pm so we can get seats when the doors open at 4:00pm. Cost is $10 per person paid at the door, cash only. The concert should be over around 9pm or so meaning we will not make it back to the church until around 10pm, depending on traffic.

30 Hour Famine

The CREW is bringing back one of our most beloved events and traditions: the 30 Hour Famine! We will gather at the church Friday evening at 7pm for some activities, spending the night, before we go out and to Serve City to help our community on Saturday. Easter Egg Hunt

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Sunday School Department will be immediately following the morning worship service, Sunday, April 8th. Children – toddlers through grade 6 – are invited to bring a basket and invite friends to join them in the fun! There will be prize eggs and something for every kid!

Candy donations are needed and can be placed in the box marked “Easter Egg Candy” in the foyer of the Family Center by April 1st. We are filling more than 3,000 eggs and that is a lot of candy! Hope to see everyone there for all the excitement.

Freedom–true freedom–is found only in Jesus Christ. Whatever bondage has held you captive, whatever chains have kept liberty at bay, there’s good news for all of us. Freedom has a name–Jesus. And He’s broken our strongholds through His amazing grace.

Vacation Bible School 2012

Get those flipflops out and ready to wear to our beach bash! We will Meet Up with Jesus, Look Up to Jesus, Join Up with Jesus, Open Up to Jesus, and Fire Up for Jesus. We’ll be grabbing our surfboards and paddling out to ride waves full of fun and adventure. As we learn about cool sea creatures like the clownfish, dolphins, and sea turtles, we’ll be exploring the wonders of the beach that will point us to answering the Big Questions about Jesus: Who is Jesus? Why
can I trust Jesus? Why do I need Jesus? How can Jesus help me when I mess up? What would Jesus have me do?

Be sure to take a trip to the beach this summer with Jesus!

Work has already begun on scenery and props! We are excited to be going to the beach this summer right in our own church! A VBS meeting has already been held and teachers lined up to work. Please see us to claim your spot on the beach this summer. We have grade level leaders to fill as soon as possible.
