Adopt-A-Child for Christmas

Christmas is right around the corner. Happy birthday, Jesus! The Salvation Army is once again sponsoring the Adopt-A-Child or Adopt-An-Angel program. We are asking the church family to become involved in helping the less fortunate. Please open your hearts (and wallets) to help the less fortunate in our own community. There are many families in need. The Salvation Army does a great job helping families in our local area, Butler County.

The First Baptist Church has done a wonderful job in the past helping needy families. We have made many families happy on Christmas morning. Thank you so much! with kids getting presents, smiling, and happy! How wonderful that will be! You have opened your hearts in the past and we are sure that you will help bring a little cheer to the children in need in our area again this year.

I will be picking up 100 names of the boys and girls and the also seniors from the Salvation Army around the middle of November. Watch the weekly bulletin for instructions of how to obtain the names. Pray and let the Holy Spirit touch your heart and pick as many names as you can. Also pray for the Adopt-AChild program. Pastor Metzger says, “Pray now!” Jesus was praying and placing His hands on the children and said, “Let the children come to me.” Jesus loved the children.
