MOPS is a program designed for mothers with children under school age – infant through kindergarten. Mothers, not all the same age, but all in the same phase of life. Women with different lifestyles and different backgrounds, some from the church, many unchurched, but all with similar needs, and a shared desire to be the very best mothers they can be!
“Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had… And dealing with fears you didn’t know existed. Being a mother is meaningful and profound, and once it enters your life, leaves you never, ever the same.”
MOPS offers a haven for frazzled nerves; an encouraging, accepting atmosphere where a mom finds out she’s not alone; a quality children’s program, Moppets, where her little ones are loved and encouraged. The MOPS group provides encouragement, support, teaching and friendship in a relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing and fun. In these relationships moms find answers for their simple, every day dilemmas and discover a safe place to explore and discuss life’s situations. MOPS helps moms… and MOPS makes a difference in the lives of their families.
MOPS meets every 3rd Tuesday during the school year from 9:30-11:45am in room 200. There is a fee of $6.00 due at each meeting as well as an optional $1 craft fee. This goes towards the cost of running the program which includes: postage for newsletters, supplies and the membership fee to be associated with the MOPS organization. Scholarships are available.
