VBS 2015: Journey Off The Map

Journey-Off-The-MapYes, we are already planning for VBS this summer. We went to the VBS showcase and are very excited to do Lifeway’s program, “Journey Off The Map” for this year. Our main verse will be: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Isaiah 30:21. That is our job to help our children find the way to Jesus! Sign up for your favorite place to work during this exciting week.

VBS 2015 Workshop

On February 17th we will be attending the annual VBS workshop from 5 – 7, at Day Springs Church of God. Each VBS kit is showcased and although we already have a theme in mind, it would be great to have people attend with us to see if there is one that stands out. There is a bonus also that often kits are given away free so the more people we have attend the better the chance of winning! Please let us know if you want to join us and we’ll save you a spot!

VBS Showcase

Lifeway Christian Bookstore will be having a VBS showcase of the 2015 curriculums Saturday, January 31st, 10:00am-noon. Please tell Claire or Cheryl if you plan to attend.

VBS 2014: Journey With Jesus

July 14-18, 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m

Pack your bags and grab your walking boots as we will be walking through various towns and cities with Jesus – including a “scenic” boat ride (you will get wet trust us! It’s a rocky ride!). Each day we will journey with Jesus and learn how his ministry impacted his family, friends, communities and the whole world!

We have open spots for teachers and helpers. You get to bless our children with your love, knowledge, friendship, enthusiasm and you get to visit the teachers snack room!

VBS 2014: Journey with Jesus

July 14 – 18, 9:00am – 12:15pm

Clear those calendars for July 14th – 18th for this years VBS!!! We’ll be taking a Journey with Jesus and learning about Jesus’ life and ministry firsthand. Our first story promises to make a splash (literally we’ll get wet!!!) while we experience how a storm rocks the boat in Galilee this will help us to understand how JESUS HELPS. From Galilee we will travel to Bethsaida to witness how JESUS CARES by transforming a man who was blind. A trip to Jericho follows on where JESUS FORGIVES and helps a tax man get a big return. Bethany is our next stop revealing that JESUS HEALS when a dead man walks out of a tomb. Our last stop for the week is in Jerusalem where JESUS SERVES and changes the world in one week! So get your passports ready for a week of travel and fun with inspiring truth from Journey with Jesus! We still have areas for teachers in different forms so let us know if you’re willing and free to help.

Our Journey With Jesus will also be on Wednesday nights this summer as we travel from city to city and learn about Jesus’ life and ministry firsthand. We will learn what a difference believing in God’s promises will make in each life.

VBS 2013: God’s Backyard Bible Camp

July 15th – 19th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Mark your calendars for July 15th – 19th! This year our V.B.S. is based on a backyard campout theme, with Cooper the dog reappearing to help us understand how to serve our family, friends, country and most importantly God. With up to date music (and of course fantastic actions!!!) we will be praising God and learning fabulous new songs to express how we much we love Him. Registration will be online again, and also in the connector. Please don’t forget to register your children :).

We have several areas that still need workers – in fact we need teachers in lots of classes, so if you can help – even if it is only part of the week – our children (and us!) would really appreciate it! Please start praying for all the preparation and the children that will attend. We will have a lunch following church on June 30th and our second VBS meeting to finalize schedules and go over materials. One of us is here most Saturdays also so if anyone is feeling crafty or wants to help prepare materials let us know.
